Barbara passed into the arms of her Savior on December 12, 2012 after a long and valiant struggle with ill health. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Richard C. (Cheryl) Talbot, cousin Carolyn (David) Lawerence, sons James M. (Theresa) Elliott and Robert C. (Teresa) Elliott, daughters Patricia M. Herron, Katherine A Elliott, and Mary Jo McGilvray, 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Charles and Beatrice (Brooks) Talbot, her husband of 49 years James N. Elliott USN retired and infant son Michael J. Elliott. Barbara was first, one of our Lords most faithful servants. She is and forever will be Mom, Nana, and Great-Nana. She was an exemplary Navy wife for 17 years, following her husband and hoisting her family from coast to coast and back by plane, train and automobile. To honor Barbara's life and all military wives her family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in her name to Operation Homefront (operationhomefront.net/donate)

I will miss my cousin Barb. She used to babysit for me when I was very young, and we always remained close - even though usually living far apart.
Deepest sympathy to Barb's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren - and her brother Dick Talbot - from all of my family.
