Rita Beach Obituary

Beach
Rita "Diane" Beach
July 25, 1949 - May 30, 2018
Rita Diane Beach, of Colorado Springs and Roach, Missouri, entered heaven on May 30, at home with her loving husband and stepson by her side.
Diane was a creative and beautiful woman with many interests and ideas. She held a Bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of Missouri. She was a lifelong patron of the arts and enjoyed playing the piano, jazz music, art shows, museums and all forms of art. Oftentimes you would find her crocheting, knitting, quilting or using her hands in her artwork. For her mother and father's 50th Wedding Anniversary, she created a quilt with memory squares of their lives together. She dreamed of pursuing a career in interior design.
Another passion was her love of animals and nature. As a child, Diane was often outside enjoying the beautiful surroundings in Missouri. She enjoyed following her older brother Jerry around and spending time with her dad, John Patterson. She and her sister, Debbie, were Daddy's girls! Diane loved her dogs, they were her children. She volunteered at her local animal shelters and spent time bird watching, boating, and enjoying nature with her family and lifelong friends, Diane and Denny Custer at their home in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.
Diane was a woman of great faith; she drew upon her faith to help her with life's daily struggles. She loved the lord, shared her faith with others and showed her love of Christ through her kind acts and generosity. She cared for her dear friend, Diane who suffered from brain cancer when she could no longer care for herself. She led her life as an inspiring women of faith.
Diane always made her presence known with her beautiful smile and eloquence.
Diane met her loving husband, Chuck, while working together at the US Postal Service. The kindness she showed her customers as a passport clerk was what attracted them to each other. Both Diane and Chuck prayed for loving partners and God answered their prayers. They were married on December 24, 2014. Although their lives together were cut short, they have many happy memories and can take comfort in knowing they will meet again.
She was loved greatly and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Beach Sr, and her three step children, Kathy Gillette, Charles Beach Jr., and Amy Campbell of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has six step-grandchildren, Sarah Rathke, Emily Campbell, Allison Hart, Brittany Campbell, Joshua Farris, and Wesley Campbell of Colorado Springs; and one great-grandchild, Jason Jackson. Diane is also survived by her loving siblings: sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Mark Colombo, brother, Jerry Patterson, and nieces and nephews; Nicholas, Sarah, Annie, Cathy; and grand-nephews, Andrew, David, Mathew, and Oscar; and Lifelong Friends, Denny and Diane Custer, Nancy and Marvin Rotenberg.
