Fred Jahn Obituary

Fred W. Jahn, age 84, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1953 and formerly of Pueblo, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his home at The Inn at Garden Plaza. He had retired from Colorado Interstate Gas Company, where for many years he had been a Graphic Arts Supervisor. Frederick William Jahn III was born on July 1, 1928 in Pueblo, Colorado to the late Fred and Myrtle (McBride) Jahn. He was a 1946 graduate of Pueblo Catholic High School and attended Pueblo Junior College. He married Beverly Felible on July 30, 1949 at St. Leander's Catholic Church in Pueblo. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church where he served as an Eucharistic Minister, the coordinator for the Senior Classics and a lector. He was a member of the Rampart Rangers and was Treasurer for Boy Scout Troop No. 21. He is survived by his loving wife: Beverly of Colorado Springs; his son: Gregory Fred (Cynthia) Jahn of Colorado Springs; three daughters: Leslie (Pat) Markle of Hugo, Colorado; Linda (Jim) Billings of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and Lori (Gary) Harris of Dolores, Colorado and a brother: Kenneth (Pat) Jahn of Canon City, Colorado. Fred has twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard and Donald Jahn. A Rosary will be said at 9:30 am on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am at the Church. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. After burial rites, the family will then have a luncheon reception at the Parish Hall of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
