Lorine Marie Browne, age 91, a resident of Lancaster, Texas and formerly of Colorado Springs, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Charlton Methodist Medical Center in Dallas. She was a loving wife and homemaker. Lorine Skupa was born on July 13, 1921 in Red Cloud, Nebraska. She was a 1939 graduate of Colorado Springs High School. After her retirement from Mountain Bell in Phoenix, Arizona she moved to Colorado Springs. She married her long time friend Henry Browne on January 1, 2005 in Lancaster, Texas. She enjoyed games. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Lancaster, Texas. She will be best remembered for her love of family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Henry Browne, of Lancaster; her brothers, Duane Skupa (Carolyn) of Colorado Springs; Richard Skupa (Eula) of Littleton, Colorado and Ron Skupa (Val). She is also survived by Henry's son, Robert Browne (Susie) of Midlothian, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel. Private entombment will follow at the mausoleum.
