Martha S. Crocker Obituary

Martha S. Crocker (Watkins), 59, peacefully died March 6, 2013 in her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Friday the 15th at Chapel of Memories, 829 South Hancock St. Marty was born on January 29, 1954 to JoAnne and Vernon Watkins in Chicago, IL and lived in Colorado Springs her entire life. She married Thomas Crocker on May 18, 1974. She is survived by: her husband, Thomas Crocker; mother, JoAnne Watkins; mother-in-law, Miriam Crocker; sisters Judy Feagler and Star Watkins; children, Lana (Ben) Garland; Chad and Scott Crocker; grandchildren, Colton and Dillon Crocker; Emily and Jacob Aguero; and Luke and Josiah Garland. She was preceded in death by: her father, Vernon Watkins; and brothers, Terry and Frank Watkins. Marty was self-employed in the construction field for many years as well as being a health care provider throughout her career. She was also a homemaker and a vital part of the lives of her grandchildren and family all around her. She will be greatly missed but is carried in the hearts of many, until we meet again one day.

Marty, for many yrs you were like another mom to me as I grew up. i can't remember a time when you weren't in my life or memories. I will miss your humor, your strong spirit and that smile. I wish I had spent more time with you these past few yrs. I am glad you are pain free and can watch over all of us that love you so much. Couln't ask for a better angel.
