Albert Berry Jones Balliett, beloved father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away quietly in his sleep Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Albert was born December 15, 1921 in Colorado Springs. He served in the Army/Air Corps, worked for the Colorado Springs Postal Service, and retired from the Colorado Springs Fire Department. Although retired from the work force, Albert never retired from life, as he always was involved in some fun family "projects." He enjoyed serving his Lord as an active member in the Nazarene Church, raising God-fearing children, making friends and acquaintances with his quick wit, warm manner, and friendly handshakes. Albert's love for the beautiful outdoors and God's creation was apparent to all who knew him. He is survived by daughters: Jacqueline, Vicki, Gwen, Robin; son, Stephen; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all loved and respected their dear Grandpa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Pauline, and son, Leslie. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013, in the Worship Center at First Church of the Nazarene, 4120 East Fountain Boulevard. Albert had a generous, giving spirit towards others, and a memorial donation may be made to the Missionary Health Care Fund, care of the Springs First Church of the Nazarene. To all of the Balliett family,
May God be so near you as you gather together to celebrate your dear Dad. I always remember his teasing and twinkling eyes. He was such a faithful man to his church, family and community. He served us well.
In his love,
