Gertrude Marguerite Walker, 83, of Colorado Springs, passed away on June 21, 2013. "Trudy" was born on January 16, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Oscar and Freda (Lengacher) Marchand. After graduating high school, Trudy attended college in Ohio before moving to Colorado where she attained her Master's Degree in education. She was a beloved school teacher for several years for District 11. Trudy enjoyed photography/art, playing tennis and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. Trudy is survived by her son, Thomas; grandchildren, Zachary and Tanya and great grandchildren, Melina and Errick. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013 in the sanctuary room at Sunrise United Methodist Church, 2655 Briargate Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918.
