Doris Ordahl Obituary

Doris Ordahl, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on July 13, 2013. She was a teacher, homemaker and community volunteer. Doris was born in Fargo, ND and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. An active community volunteer, Doris gave her time to many organizations including: Members' Volunteer Association of the Fine Arts Center, League of Women Voters, Women's Education Society of Colorado College and the Opera Guild. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, John A. Ordahl and her children, Elizabeth A. Ordahl, John N. (Darcy) Ordahl, Susan L. (Robert) Howland, Kathryn M. (Arthur) Hammersmark. Also surviving are her grandchildren Kai, Shea, John, Mark, Peter and Carolyn. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013, First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in her memory to First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 or to the Museum Fund at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, 30 W. Dale, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.
