James Harold Heiser, age 68, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1981, passed away suddenly on December 1, 2012 at a local hospital. He had retired after 20 years with the United States Air Force and then worked for Martin Marietta, later Lockheed Martin Corporation. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. James was born on February 20, 1944 in Colorado Springs to the late James Willard and Edith Elizabeth (Burke) Heiser. After high school, he joined the Air Force. He married Betty Ann Campbell on August 1, 1964 in Colorado Springs. Together they raised a family and traveled with the Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Betty; and his daughters: Rosemary (husband, Larry) Hull of Colorado Springs; Cheryl Callahan of Colorado Springs; Karen (husband, William) Saunders of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire; and Deborah Heiser (and Jason Kane) of Colorado Springs.
