COLO. -- Ruth Allene Fester, 97 3/4, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at a nursing home in Colorado Springs, Colo. Funeral service: 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Ruth A. Fester was born Feb. 20, 1915, in Dougherty, Okla. and had lived in Fort Worth since 1945. She was a member of River Oaks Baptist Church Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Fester, in 1999. Survivors: Daughter, Sharon K. Wiss and husband, Lawrence, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Larry A. Fester and wife, Debbie, of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Gant of Ardmore, Okla., Gilda Elliott of Plano; and nephew, Jim Fester and wife, Donna, of Fort Worth.
