Robert Joseph Boschert was born on October 1, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Kenneth Joseph and Dorothy Angeline (Frank) Boschert. On the morning of April 14, 2014 Jesus called Robert home to heaven. He died following long-term complications from a motorcycle accident.
Robert graduated in 1975 form St. Mary's High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Army and served as a Military Police Officer. Later he served as a police officer in the state of Washington. He briefly moved back to Colorado and then moved to Tennessee where he was trained as a "chemist" colorist for Salon Vasage in Knoxville, Tennessee. He returned to Colorado Springs where he continued work in a salon.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Joseph Boschert (1960); his Dad of 48 years, Laymon Berndsen (2009); and his wife, Gina Boschert (2014).
He is survived by his three sons, Laymon (Stephanie) Boschert, Cody (Lacey) Boschert, and Dustin Boschert; his mother Dorothy Boschert Berndsen; a sister, Dorothy "Glory" Boschert; a brother, Kenneth (Brenda) Boschert; and three nieces, Jennifer and Theresa Boschert, and Christina (Brandon) Boschert-Smith.
Robert was also blessed by a large family of AA friends who will miss his quiet wisdom and gentle smile. He loved to ride his motorcycle on the open roads of Colorado with his wife, Gina, and friends.
A Memorial Mass and celebration of life meal will be held on 1:00PM, Saturday, May 10, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1830 South Corona Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80905.
Final resting place will be at the future VA Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
