Edwin Cummings Obituary

Edwin B. Cummings, 82, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8. He was preceded in death by his brother, Evert and his sister Doris Schmitz. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances Fae and his stepdaughter, Cheryl Robison, a niece, Rhonda Phillips of Denver and three grandchildren; Carie Eudey, Jacqueline Dabroski, and James C. Robison. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren. He was born in Blue Rapids, Kansas, where his family visited for a short time. They returned to Colorado Springs when Ed was six months old. He graduated from Colorado Springs High School and served honorably in the Air Force. He was stationed in Fort Worth, Texas during the Korean War. He was employed by the gas division of the Colorado Springs Utilities and previously he was manager of Clark's Service Station on West Colorado Ave. He loved to travel. He and his wife enjoyed many trips to Europe and Mexico. His good nature and ready laughter will be remembered by many and not soon forgotten. By his own requested there was no service. He was buried in Fairview Cemetery.

I was sorry to read of Edwin's passing. My late husband (Norm Clark)thought the world of Edwin, both in his personal life and as an excellent business partner. Please accept my condolences.
