I always enjoyed sitting behind you all in church, participating in 9 to Dine dinners, and Sam's New Years Day black eyed peas and cornbread. I continue to treasure those memories. My thoughts and prayers are with all your family.

Sam was a great man. Sam and Nance, (you had to say both together, as they were one) had a huge impact on my life and so many others. His kindness and generosity have been a example to many of how to be a good person. Thank you Sam for looking after us "Homers", you made a difference.
