Joanne Clayton Obituary

Joanne Beamsley Clayton passed away at San Luis Care Center in Alamosa, Colorado on May 3rd, 2013, at the age of 87. Joanne is predeceased by, her loving husband, John Brooke Clayton of 53 years, her sister Martha Jane Catlett, and her brother, Foster Beamsley. Joanne is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Brooke Hayden of Alamosa, Colorado, her son, Thomas Clayton of Fort Collins, Colorado, and her grandchildren, Jessie Rose of Alamosa, Colorado, and John Rose of San Rafael, California. Joanne was born in Delevan, Wisconsin in 1926. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She worked as a school teacher. Joanne was an avid reader, enjoyed singing in the church choir, entertaining, and volunteered her time teaching reading in Colorado Springs area schools. A Memorial Service will be held at Monument Community Presbyterian Church, 238 Third Street in Monument, Colorado, at 1:30pm on Saturday, May 11th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trivial Donations Foundation, 6636 Ward Road, Arvada, CO 80004, URL, http://463097823408714205.weebly.com/index.html.

Oh my....found out about Joanne's passing from Blanche Scott,in Palmer Lake....took us by surprise,as she was a force of nature.....we loved her very much....she made us laugh a lot....Eilee and Virginia Mangham...
