Edgar Wayne Van Voris, Jr, at the age of 82, passed away May 10, 2013 from two illnesses that he suffered through for quite some time. While attending Cornell University he was drafted into the United States Army to include a tour in Vietnam. After serving 20 years he retired as a Master Sergeant. After the military he continued a career In Personnel Management with an earned Bachelor degree. He will be greatly missed by his family: beloved wife, Elizabeth of 57 years; son, Gary Van Voris; daughters, Faye Hogan and Sherri Van Voris; also two grandchildren, Courtney Gramm, and Jacob Hogan. Edgar was a strong man with great integrity and honesty, and a great sense of humor to match. He was blessed with several wonderful relationships throughout his life, and we were all blessed as well to know and spend the time we had with him. Services will be held Tuesday, May 14th at 10:00am at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial donations to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care.
