Robert James O'Donnell, 83, died on April 9, 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was born on March 11, 1931 in Margaret Hague Hospital to James and Mary O'Donnell in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Robert attended Lincoln High School in Jersey City and entered the United States Marine Corp in 1949. A decorated veteran of both Vietnam and the Korean War, Robert retired in 1971 as a First Sergeant.
From 1972 to 1978, Robert worked as a property manager for Colonial Berks Real Estate and later, drove a school bus for Exeter Township, both in Reading, Pennsylvania.
After moving to Colorado Springs in 1985, he drove for the Broadmoor Resort and worked for Cub Foods. He was a shelf stocker and greeter until he retired.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Maureen C. Coffey O'Donnell.
He is survived by his daughters, Cathleen M. (Craig S.) Gaul, and Noreen A. (Bruce Shraudner) O'Donnell; wife, Dorothy O'Donnell; granddaughter, Ashley Maienshein; grandsons, Erik Gaul, Ryan Schraudner, and Colin Schraudner.
Visitation, 9:00AM, Monday, April 14, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1830 South Corona Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00AM, Monday, April 14, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.

I remember Top coming out to the field and going around our lines checking each individual to see if there was any problem he could help with. Anyproblem he took to the, found the answer, and then delivered that answer.I will always admire Top. Dave Moore
