Albert Henry Willard, 84, was welcomed into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Pikes Peak Hospice, after being diagnosed with final stage Myeloma. Albert was born in Carmi Township, Preston, Kansas on January 22, 1929, the sixth of seven children born to Dennis Benton Willard and Mahala Mable Rader Willard. Albert went to college at Central College in McPherson, Kansas, where he met and married Betty Jeanean Chrislip, who passed on in 1992. After four years in the Navy SeaBees, where he served in Japan, Hawaii, Guam and California, he began working in the heating contracting business. He relocated to Colorado Springs where he installed heating and air conditioning for Widefield Homes until he retired. Albert loved missions and ministries and continued working after retirement in order to be able to give to them. He was known affectionately as Bro. Supernatural to his friends. He was an active member of his church, Gateway Church Mesa Ridge, and Full Gospel Fellowship. Albert's response to his diagnosis was, "Welcome to Heaven; goodbye earth." Albert was preceded by his parents and brothers, Kenneth, Paul, and Earl Willard, and his granddaughter, Haylie Willard. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Terrell; and brothers, Robert and Dale Willard; his children, Kay and Mike Martin, Dan and Maki Willard; grandchildren, Jenn and Nick Pedersen, Chris and Sara Martin, and Bryan and Elizabeth Willard; great-grandchildren: Kaleigh, Nick and Tassjie Pedersen, Ariel, Merci and Ivy Willard, and Phoenix Martin. Thursday night, May 23 visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with celebration of his life on Friday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m., both at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. US Hwy 85/87 near Widefield.
