Karen Rae Cahow (73) passed to live with our Heavenly Father and the members of our family already there on November 1, 2012. She passed away at her home after a long fight with cancer. Karen was born in Denver, CO on May 2, 1939 of the late Howard and Elda Ruth Polk. Other members of the family already passed were parents (Howard, Elda Ruth, Margaret), Grandfathers (Jessi, Ray), Grandmothers (Effie, Elda (Bannie)), 3 Uncles (Ray (Bill), Dan, Price), 2 Aunts (Florance, Lydia), Brother-in-law (Dale), Mother-in-law (Frances), Sister (Sharon (Gail)), and Grandson (Brian). Karen is survived by Sister (Nancy Lindback), Brother (Barney (Arlene) Polk), Step-brother (Lee Zittle), Son (Richard (Donna) Cahow), Daughters (Linda, (Rich) Furrer and Janice (Jim) Daigneault), 8 Grandchildren (Christopher, Anthony, Shannon, Kayleen, Jason, Candice, Amber and Karissa), Great-grandchild (Alyssa), Nieces (Sandy, Sylvia, Sara, Jamie, Heather, Holly), Nephews (Dave, Mitch, Wes), Grand-nieces (Aimee, Angie, Kirsten, Casey), Grand-nephews (Anthony, Paul, Bryan), Great-grandnieces (Charlee, Danni), Great-grandnephews (Caiden, Jacob). Karen wanted her family and friends to know how dearly loved and special they were to her. She said she will be sending hugs from Heaven to all members of her wonderful family and to the many friends that have been such a blessing in her life. Words cannot express how greatly Karen (Mom) will be missed! Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Memorial services for Karen will be at Unity in the Rockies Church (1945 Mesa Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80904) on November 8, 2012 at 11:00am. Reception to follow immediately after service.

Karen played a big part in my young childhood memories. She was always so kind and soft spoken. Everyone is going to miss this sweet lady. Hugs to the family...especially Linda, my loving babysitter and Janice, my child hood friend.

So sorry to hear Karen passed away. I remember her being such a nice person. This is memory I have even though I was very little. Prayers and thoughts to your family.
