Sally K. Yates, 79, went home to her Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 24th after a long illness and surrounded by her family. Born in Park Ridge, IL, she and her family moved to Colorado Springs in 1947. Sally attended Colorado Springs High School, and the University of Colorado. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority, and majored in Journalism. John and Sally married in 1955, moved to Denver and began their career and family. They have thee children, Stephen, Lisa and David. Sally's love was spending time with her family, playing bridge and golf with her good friends. She was an avid skier, loved the outdoors and traveled extensively. She is survived by her husband John, daughter Lisa Kautz and son David and five grandchildren Bryant, Maxwell Garrett, Travis and Gabrielle, her brother, Sandy Kramer and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be help at First-Pres Church, 218 E. Bijou St., Colorado Springs, CO, Friday, Nov. 2nd at 2:00 pm. Pastor John Stephens and Bob Mitchell officiating. Private burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Donations can be made in her name to Young Life.
