Sean Cain, 60, a 34-year resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on January 5, 2013. He was born November 8, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska to Jerome A. and Helen Marie (Gallagher) Cain (both deceased). Graduate of Lincoln (NE) Southeast High School. He is survived by his wife Dot Cain; daughter Ahsha Morin (Chuck), Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Austin LaVelle, Greeley, CO, Hannah LaVelle and Grace Morin, Norman, OK; sisters Kathleen Cain, Arvada, CO and Kelly Cain, Lincoln, NE; brothers Dan (Kathy) Cain, Lincoln, NE and Keenan (Peggy) Cain, Lincoln, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to: The Rocky Mountain Elk Fund ( or 1-800-225-5355) or, in honor of his parents, to Cedars Home for Children (, 6601 Pioneers Blvd./Lincoln, NE 68506 or the Patient Emergency & Charity Care Fund at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center (, 555 South 70th St./Lincoln, NE 68510 Sean had a loving devotion to family, work, and rock 'n roll. Nothing made him happier than being out hunting or camping. Teaching his grandkids how to fish and build a fire were two delights of his grandfatherhood. He took great pride in owning his own construction business, balancing his technical and creative skills with honesty, integrity, and humor. His passion for music inspired many around him to pursue it in their own way. His unique humor was unpredictable, inviting, and all-encompassing--he spread happiness throughout his life. In tough times he found a way to figure things out. He always had a big "Sean" hug available, and energy and enthusiasm to spare--and share. He lived his life fully and was an example to anyone who knew him of courage, kindness, joy, faithfulness, and, most importantly--love.
