DENNIS JEROME KRUSE
April 17, 1952
March 19,2020
Dennis Jerome Kruse was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 19, with his family at his side. He was born April 17, 1952, in Minot, ND., to Verne and Dorothy Kruse.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father Verne Kruse, sister Vicki Kruse, and brother Kenny Kruse. He is survived by his strong, witty mother Dorothy Kruse of Minot, ND; his loving wife of 42 years Sharon; his devoted sons Shawn (Nichole) of MountLake Terrace, WA, Derek (Brittany) and Kevin (Stephanie) both of Colorado Springs, Co; seven beloved grandchildren - Carson, Hayden, Caleb, Kaitlynn, Keylee, Kyla and Elliana; sister-in-law Barb Kruse of Minot, ND; aunt Sharon Wylie of Miami, FL; and numerous nieces, nephew, and cousins.
What Dennis loved most was time with family. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He liked to travel and to play Bridge with friends. Dennis and Sharon were longtime residents of Colorado Springs and members of First Lutheran Church. Before Dennis retired he worked for over 30 years with Hewett Packard and Agilent Technologies.
A celebration of Dennis' life will be held at a later date.

Sharon, and Derek, Kevin and Shawn; I was so fortunate to spend time with the two of you when I visited Colorado Springs several years ago. Although I did not get to know Dennis well I really enjoyed our dinner together and our trip to Garden of the Gods Park. Dennis was so gracious and friendly. It was easy to see what a devoted husband and father he was. You have our deepest sympathy.

Dear Sharon and family,
There are no words to express my sorrow as you deal with the loss of your dear Dennis.
We remember fondly the time Dennis and "the boys", his logging crew, came to our Manitou house to cut down a tree that had been damaged in a windstorm. It was a huge tree, but the four of them somehow managed to take care of it.
Later on you and Dennis and a grand baby came to our Westcliffe home to cut firewood and take down a couple of trees that needed to be removed. It was a full day of work, and you went home with a full load of logs for your fireplace with which you heated your Blackforest home.
Please know that your wonderful Dennis, loving son, loving husband, loving father and grandfather, will remain forever in your heart. We wrap our hearts around you at this sorrowful time.
Much love,
Jan and Pam, from your Gorman Family

What a fine man Dennis was. He and the boys helped us when a huge blue spruce in our yard in Manitou lost its top in a big wind many years ago. The Kruse crew came and cut down the rest of the damaged tree and hauled it off for firewood. Several years later Sharon and Dennis came to our Westcliffe home with one of the grand babies and cut trees for a load of firewood. Wonderful times to remember always. Rest well, Dennis.
