SAMUEL BEACH
July 23, 1990 - March 3, 2019
Samuel Beach, age 28, left for his final journey home on March 3rd, in Wailuku Hawaii, after courageously battling his addiction for almost four years. Sam was born on July 23rd, 1990 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After graduating from Cheyenne Mountain High School and Montana State University with a degree in International Business, Sam began his professional career in Charleston, South Carolina with United Cargo Management, an international freight forwarding company. From there, Sam eventually returned to Colorado Springs to work with his father at Cascade Investment Group. His journey continued on to Austin, Texas, then to Kihei, Hawaii on the island of Maui.
During his time with all of us, Sam made an impact on everyone he touched. As his cousin Kendall Kelleher beautifully said, "Sam was truly a light in this world who knew how to make the best of every situation. He lived every day to the fullest and knew how to spread the most positive energy. He was not only an incredible source of support to anyone who was going through difficult times of despair, but also knew how to be the life of the party during the good times. Sam's love of adventure and world travel inspired his cousins and friends to seek out adventure to the farthest corners of the world."
Sam loved his family and held tightly to family traditions, especially during the Christmas Season. Our Sam will be dearly missed every waking moment of every day of our lives. Although Sam was taken from us far too soon, we believe without a doubt, that God's plan for Sam has been fulfilled, and now he is finally at peace in our Savior's loving arms.
Sam leaves behind his father and mother, Ken and Anne Beach, his sister Kate Beach, Grandmother Judy Beach, many aunts and uncles, cousins and his loving dogs- Molly, Henry, Sadie and Eden.
A celebration of Sam's life will be held on the evening of Saturday, March 23rd at 7:00 pm at St. Paul's Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Sunday, March 24th at 7:00 pm at St. Paul's Church.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, that donations in Sam's honor go to the Spring's Rescue Mission located at 5 W. Las Vegas St., Colorado Springs, CO 80903 (719 632-1822).

Sam, I don't even know where to begin. I guess I can start with one of your many passions, the weather. I saw numerous parallels with the weather and grief, reflections, and life. From overcast skies, rain, beautiful sunshine, gusty winds, fog, and gorgeous sunsets, the weather was truly symbolic. I also wanted to say thank you for the wonderful memories and creating many firsts for me.<3 You will always hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget you. From endless conversations in jr high art classes about LOST, the Titanic, airplanes, golf, movies, the beach, palm trees, drawing, Christmas, family, skiing, traveling, you becoming my first boyfriend, first date to a formal dance, and all the special memories in between. Your soul is truly remarkable. You were able to love me when I didn't love myself, and I will always remember and treasure that. Listening to all the stories at your celebration of life made me realize I was not the only one you helped in that way. You assisted and were able to fearlessly love, even when that person did not think they were deserving of that love. That is one of the numerous reasons why you are and will forever be a radiantly beautiful soul and light. Your light will guide many to seek new adventures and become the best versions of ourselves, thank you. I am incredibly sorry for our earthly loss and the struggles you bravely battled. You will be missed but will live on through the light you shared and continue to ignite in the many lives you impacted across the globe. I will continue to rock out to Disney music and watch re-runs of LOST, until we meet again. As some of our favorite characters from LOST would say, "See you in another life."

I was so terribly sad to hear the news of Sam's passing. Of course, you will gain more perspective over time about his struggles with addiction and his achievements despite his addiction. What is clear now, however, is that he could not have had better, more loving and more giving parents than you two, Anne and Ken, and he could not have had a more dedicated sister than you, Kate. Period. Please hold on to each other tight and remember you are loved. Find his star in the sky soon. He's there. Love, Anne

When I spoke to my mom about you the day that I found out, I was in tears. She reminded me about when we performed in Hawaii for show choir. I began to remember that day; I somehow forgot my dress shoes that we performed in and you let me borrow yours. You may have been the nicest, most kind and caring and giving one of any of us in our family. It made me think of every time we performed together, every time we went to your house, or to Mackenzies house or to my house. It reminded me of your mannerisms, your goofiness. Its been 10 years since Ive seen you and I want to tell you that Im sorry I didnt reach out to you more and that I love you like a brother. We all miss you, and we all will miss you until we will see you again one day, and when we do, I will tell you. I already know what youll say.
For now, thank you for every morning you made the room brighter when the sun wasnt out yet. Thank you for making me laugh harder than I can remember. Thank you for your lasting impact and for your voice I will never forget. Thank you for being the heart of our family. I love you man, and I will see you again someday.

Sam was an incredibly kind, funny young man always ready for the next adventure. It was a gift to share music with Sam in my classroom, and I will forever treasure those memories.
To the Beach family, I'm so sorry. Thank you for sharing Sam with us. Kate- I wish I could hug you.
Sam, a song we performed your senior year has been playing in my head. "What wind is it that blows here? What change is come about? I sense it is a good wind, an angel, breathing out."

Sam. I know it has been a while since we last spoke, but I want you to know that I will always remember our crazy chem final story. Who would have guessed that we would have gotten into a car accident after last-minute cramming at Panera in South Gate, right before the hardest final of the year? Having to call my mom, her laughing and thinking I was telling her a joke to get out of the final, and then having to talk to the principle to confirm we did indeed get into an accident. You turned to me and said, "Natasha. You handled that better than I ever could have." As we drove to CMHS with a bent front bumper and limited right turning capability, we were both 10X more nervous as we hustled into Mrs. Muller's class. Nevertheless, we both passed. It seems like that was yesterday and I remember every detail. This world lost you too soon love. Rest in peace.

Sam is one of the gentlest, most other-directed students I have ever had. That kindness, I wish it were viral. His influence stays with me every day. To the Beach family, especially you, Kate, thank you for sharing Sam with us. We are richer for it.
To you, Sam, my hope is this Into paradise may the angels lead you.
