Anna Marie Criscuolo Obituary

ANSONIA: Anna Marie Criscuolo, age 60, entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2021, at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Anna Marie was born in Derby on June 3, 1961, daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Miconi Criscuolo. She was employed as a clerk at the United States Postal Service in Shelton until her retirement. Anna Marie was kind, bringing comfort and joy with her love and smile and always the first to help out her friends and family in need. She was thankful for all of them. She enjoyed live music, followed local bands, and had a lifelong love of cats.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a brother, Gabriel M. Criscuolo Sr. of Seymour, nieces, Stacey J. D’Agostino (Pat) of Seymour and Tara J. Schmidheini (Edward Dains) of Ansonia, a nephew, Gabriel M. Criscuolo Jr. (Kristin) of Oxford, great nieces and nephews, Gabriella D’Agostino, William Schmidheini Jr. and Jacob Schmidheini and sister-in-law and friend, Jean Bennard of Seymour. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Joanne Criscuolo. She also leaves her great-aunt, Anna Vaccaro, great-uncles, Louis “Sonny” and Harry Miconi as well as many loving cousins and friends. Although she never had children of her own, besides her nieces and nephews, she dearly cherished Butchie, Tricia and Patrick.

A celebration of Anna Marie’s life will take place in the Spring. The family will announce the details at a later date. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME in Ansonia has been privileged her arrangements. To sign Anna Marie’s guestbook or share a memory, please visit www.spinelliricciutifh.com.

I met AnnaMarie because for more than 15 yrs she was one of my counter girls at the Shelton Post Office...
I called her Annie, she called me Robbie...
I would easily be at the Post Office 3 days a week...sometimes more..
Mailing out Catalogs & Post cards..
And would give her and the other girls samples of my PL.Tealights..
She always loved any scent I would give her.
We had Kitties in common..and sometimes talked too long with other people in line!
She would also love when I'd bring in my Shitszu Olivia!
The last time I saw her was at a Seymour Pink event in October...
Haptic Sense was playing.
We hugged and chatted for a few minutes and told her I'd see her at other events that they will be playing.
She was always so friendly & kind to me.
My deepest condolences to her family & all her friends.
She will always be Annie at counter 3, Shelton Post Office, to me

Annamarie was like a sister to both of us. She was part of our chosen family. We are grateful for so many wonderful memories with her. Annamarie was caring, kind and generous. Her acceptance of others and her willingness to see the good in others was endearing. Annamarie's love of music and support for live local bands was infectious. Just seeing her "in action" at a show was enough to make anyone smile. She will be missed and loved always. Rest easy, Annamarie.

Annamarie, you will always be remembered as a ray of sunshine to me! When I was little getting to see you at Auntie Mary’s house, all through the years at the post office and later in life out listening to bands. You were ALWAYS HAPPY. The world lost a good one the day you went to heaven. Only the good die young, Rest In Peace. Until we meet again cuz.

As a member of the Ct local music scene til 2018, she was certainly a fixture at every gig, videoing, posting them on Facebook. She should have started her own YouTube channel! She was warm,, kind-hearted, a wonderful friend, full of life and love and she will be greatly missed. As a resident of Florida now, I always counted on her postings to still be witness of the Ct. scene and of the fun she had along the way. My deepest and sincerest condolences to her family on this tragic loss...this one hurts alot for all of us who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, dear lady.
