Christopher A. Rawls
Rochester, NH - Christopher A. Rawls, 47 of Rochester passed away unexpectedly from a brief illness Friday April 23, 2021 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Massachusetts.
He was born on August 8, 1973 in Columbus Georgia, the son of Anthony and Pinkie (Jones) Rawls, graduated from Dover High School and has resided in this area most of his life.
Chris was a huge personality, if you didn’t know him when he walked into the room, you knew him when he left. He had an uncanny ability to make anyone feel comfortable and welcome. To know him is to love him.
Chris loved to laugh, but more importantly loved to make others laugh. He had an endless catalog of jokes he loved to tell, he went through a period of having ‘yo mama’ battles with anyone and everyone. You knew you were in for it when he pulled out his phone and started sharing jokes and memes from there. It was an enter at your own risk situation.
Oh, and let’s not forget about his love of shoes. He spent his free time shopping for shoes, trading or selling sneakers. He even went so far as to go out shopping for shoes during the birth of his first child! He said it’s because the nurse told him to ‘get fresh air.’ I am sure Nike and Adidas will be missing him almost as much as his family and friends.
Chris’s biggest love was his family. He was so proud of his ‘babies’. You could find him on the soccer fields cheering on DeAndre. Or at a cheer competition being a proud cheer dad to Arianna. He was a loving and devoted husband for 18 years, with never a doubt of his commitment.
Chris had worked at Bill Dube Inc since 1996, minus a short time where he worked for the Rochester Post Office. He was an icon at the dealership, whether he was joking with the employees, customers or vendors, putting his signature pinstripe on a car, or just helping out wherever and whenever needed. He could even be seen in the commercials... Always!
Members of his family include his wife, Halie (Hoy) Rawls of Rochester, his two children, DeAndre Rawls and Arianna Rawls both of Rochester, his brother Tony Rawls and his wife Cheryl Rawls of Northwood and his sister, Sharon Rawls of Albany, Georgia. He was predeceased by both his parents and brother, Walter Rawls.
In memory of Chris please consider organ donation. Many of you know he was on the list for a kidney transplant. He sadly didn’t get a chance to receive a kidney. There are living donations such as kidney, partial liver and lung. Donate an organ, save a life.
Visiting hours will be Friday April 30, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by the funeral at 7:00 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave. Dover.

I'm so sad that my friend Rawlz passed. Always enjoyed lunch at the "Quick Lane Cafe" with the gang. I was always thankful that he was the neighbor where all three of my kids rented. I didn't have to worry about them, Ralwz was two doors down. He will be missed. My deepest sympathies to his family. ❤

Boog, Halie, and the entire family,
I was saddened to learn that Chris had passed. The "little" middle brother of Tony and the Walter.
A family I have had the pleasure of knowing for 35 years. Reading some of these other write ups made me laugh and cry with memories. Chris certainly did have a big personality and you certainly knew when he was around.
He always had a deep love for his family, so it's no surprise he became a loving husband and a wonderful dad. I also remember him being a fixture at Bill Dube and tooting at him hundreds of times as I drove by over the years.
But I will always remember him from Pure Platinum where he met Halie and as the "little" middle brother whenever I would go pick up "Boog" for work or basketball.
Your loss is shared by many. But know that he is upstairs in heaven with your folks and big Walt.
I'm praying for you all.
With deepest sympathy,
Karen Anderson

So shocked to hear of Rawlz' passing!!! Ron and I will never forget the many visits at Dunkin Donuts and Rawlz' ability to laugh and his many stories of family. He was always concerned about everyone else and kept his own health in a "light" manner. RIP Rawlz - you will be forever in our hearts and your family in our prayers. We will meet again.

God has gained another angel ... And yes he was an angel, if not for him, myself and my family would have perished in June of 2007. I am forever greatful and I pray for your comfort.

Whenever Chris entered a room whether in High School or outside of school he lit up a room with his smile, caring personality and great sense of humor. He was an incredible family man and friend of all of us who ever had the privilege to have any kind of contact with him.
To his wife and kids, I am terribly sorry you have lost your husband and dad. I am 100% certain though he will always guide you in whatever life brings you here on out. While he might no longer be here physically, spiritually his legacy will live on with you all forever. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you!
Tony, I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. I cannot express how sad and emotional I feel for you and your family during this extremely difficult time.
This man truly is the definition of a very kind, loving and caring person. I am honored to have been able to call him a friend. He will be sorely missed by is family and all of us that had the absolute honor to have got to know him in and outside of Dover, NH. May Chris and his legacy live in all of us forever. Godspeed Chris, we all miss you and will see you when we do.
