Davonta' Croker Obituary
Davonta’ Aubrey Croker was born April 7, 1998 in Suffolk, VA to Vicki Robichaux and Jimmy Croker of Smithfield, VA. Davonta’ took God’s hand and entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 19, 2022.
Davonta’ received his formal education from Isle Of Wight County Public School System. After graduation, he began his career with Newport News Shipbuilding as a painter.
Davonta’ accepted Christ at an early age at Campbell’s Chapel AMEC. Later in life, he rededicated himself to Christ at Christ Church of God located in Hampton, Virginia where he was baptized on May 17, 2017.
He enjoyed football, baseball, and spending time with friends and family. Davonta’ is known for helping many and sharing his infectious smile. His most enjoyable time was spent with his nieces Treviyona, Amaryah, Tre’mani and Anijah, and nephew (Adore), along with his best friend Edwin Daniel.
He was preceded in death by his loving brother Treviyon Lamont Hill, maternal grandparents, Curtis and Queen Gwaltney and paternal grandfather, Sylvester Croker Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Vicki Robichaux (Domingo), his father, Jimmy Croker (Tuwana), three sisters, Jametra Croker, Jamyiah Eley, all of Smithfield VA; Taylor Robichaux of Portsmouth, VA; three brothers, Keenan Eley, Tywan Eley of Smithfield VA and Dante Robichaux of TN; grandparents, Wayne and Marian Beale, Sarah E. Croker; two aunts, Shanta’ Ellis (Christopher), Kassandra Croker Ford, Carrollton VA. Five uncles; Xavier Beale (Lashawn), Biko Gwaltney, Ronnie Croker (Brenda), Curtis Croker, Carlton Croker (Connie), Stacey Croker and a host of great aunts, great uncles, loving cousins and friends
Davonta’ will be missed greatly by his family and friends too numerous to name. Our hearts will always be full of love, joy in our remembrance of him. Until we meet again sweet prince.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12pm Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Surry, VA. Interment following service Mt Nebo Cemetery. Viewing will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 from 3-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the Croker Family in your thoughts and prayers.
