I was so saddened to hear of Mrs. Shands passing . I met her years ago at my father’s service station in Petersburg. When we would see her pull up, we would go out and pump her gas for her . She was always so kind to the guys and I at the shop and will be missed . Sending prayers to your family

To the Family
Sister Dorothy Shands has been such an inspiration to us. She was such a good friend of our mother Sister Florine Martin. Her dedication to the Bethany Baptist Association
has been such a dedicated and faithful
Journey. May the love and peace of God be with her family.

Ms. Shands was a role model and beautiful person inside and out. We met back in the late 60's at CSH and even though it was for only 5 years, she carried herself as a Christian woman and truly put God first in her life. RIP my friend!!!

Mrs Shands was such a beautiful woman inside and outside. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was like mother to me and a grandmother to my children and grandchildren. Always smiling and never a bad word or thought about anyone. Our family is truly going to miss her.
