Memorial Services for Deloris K. Risk, 75, of Welcome, MN will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Visitation will be held 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Deloris passed away on Thursday evening, July 21, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Fairmont. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Deloris Kaye (Davis) Risk was born on October 24, 1946 to Edward and Wilma (Kunert) Davis in Emmetsburg, IA. She was raised in the St. James, MN area. She graduated from St. James High School in 1963.
Deloris worked at Alumacraft in St. Peter for several years, Fairmont Foods and most recently as a cook at Korte’s Bar and Grill in Welcome. She was a hard-working woman who worked hard to support her family. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and cooking when everyone came over to her home. She will be remembered for her love of joking around and giving people a hard time. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont where she was involved with bible study and the Parish Fellowship and Public Relations group.
Those left to cherish her memory include her best friend, Donald Diekmann of Welcome; son, Shawn Kammerlander of Glenville; step-children, Leroy (Susan) Risk of Truman, Nita Baker of Hanska and Darren Risk of Hudson, SD; Donald’s children, Michelle Klein, Janelle Schomberg, Troy Diekmann, Myla Diekmann and Gordy Diekmann; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Wilma Davis.
