Donald Pintacura Obituary

Donald (Donnie) Pintacura, loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born July 28,1949 in Flint, Michigan to Russel and Helen Pintacura.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Russel and Helen; and brother, Michael Pintacura. He is survived by his sons, Jeromy and Nathan Pintacura; his siblings, Russel (Toby) Pintacura, Kathy (Paul) Russell, Dianna Pintacura, Angela (Barry) Wallace, and Gina (Brian) Moffit; and grandchildren, Hannah, Rachel, Jacob, Jayson, and Emma.

Although Donnie grew up in Flint, Michigan, he later fell in love with the states of Florida and New Hampshire, traveling back and forth between the two states for many years until he passed.

ln each state he resided, he made life-long friends and lived a life full of memorable experiences. He always looked forward to visits to and from his family, with some of his most cherished memories being when his sons would come to stay with him. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, which was evident in the lighthearted and fun energy he brought to those around him.

Those that knew and loved Donnie always considered him to be young at heart. He loved being active and frequently took long hikes and bike rides. He also enjoyed nature, fishing, and had a passion for his motorcycles.

Donnie was a very intentional person who maximized his time spent doing what he enjoyed. He was an artist in every way and extremely talented in each of his passions. He loved music, and was a talented singer, guitar player, and piano player. He also enjoyed doing leather work, drawing, collecting art, and capturing memories through photography. Those that knew Donnie also know that he was a great cook and treated cooking as If it was an art. In addition, he was a talented carpenter that went above and beyond in his work. In his passions, work, and many other areas of his life, Donnie aimed to complete everything he did to its perfection.

Those close to Donnie know that he was a unique person full of so much depth. When he loved someone, he loved them wholeheartedly and with all his being. He cherished his family and friends and always made sure that they knew it. Donnie was also a generous person, who often donated to humanitarian causes and never paused when it came to lending someone a hand. He had a genuine and kind soul, with so much love to share.

A devoted Christian, Donnie found true peace within his faith. He knew that he was going to experience eternal life and joy one day, like he is experiencing now. Although Donnie rests happily in light, his absence is one that is felt immensely, as he was and is so loved. He will be greatly missed and forever held in the hearts of his loved ones.

For those that would like to make a memorial contribution, in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations. Checks can be made payable to Jeromy Pintacura and mailed to Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Michigan 48507.

Hugs and prayers for the family. I feel for you each so much for the loss of your loved one. I am so grateful that you know he was a Christian and is resting easy with The Lord. However I am so sorry for each of your losses of a good man here on this earth.
I cherish the bike weeks and times I was able to spend in NH with his grandkids and son over the years. He was always so lively and fun to be around. He definitely gave me experiences I will never forget!! I loved hearing him sing and play guitar and piano and enjoyed when he would come and visit his grandkids and son when their father and I were married. Much love and prayers to his sons, grandchildren and his siblings and all of his family and friends.

It's always hard to say the last goodbye. Having known Donnie since my first memories, He's been a lifelong friend, on and off housemate, and inspiration to me. Liz and I will miss him at our table Thanksgiving, Christmas, and our many coney parties. God speed old friend, I love you like a brother. Thank you for all you've done for me.
