I was sadden to learn of Donald's passing. I met him many years ago while taking photos at the Galax Old Fiddlers' Convention. He welcomed me there as a fellow photographer and every subsequent year at Felts Park it was a pleasure to sit with him on the front row at the stage and talk with him. Galax Old Fiddlers' Convention, which begins next week, will not be the same without Donald there. I will miss him. I send my condolences to his relatives.
