Polkton – Mr. Donald Lewis “Donnie” Napier, 81 passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at his home. Born August 11, 1943, in Anson County, NC, he was the son of the late Earl Wright Napier and Ann Morgan Napier. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Libby Williams (Johnny).
Donnie retired from the CSXT Railroad after 40 years of service as a conductor. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He liked horses and visiting Love Valley (Horse Town) with his family on the weekends.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Donnie will be 11 AM Friday, July 18, 2025, from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Williams Cemetery in Polkton. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Belinda Willams “Benny” Napier; son, Marty Napier (Sherri), daughter, Buffy McCormick (Ken), son, Rusty Napier (Tami) grandchildren, Lil’ Ken, Liz and Gracin McCormick, Brandi and Brooklyn Napier; Rusty’s stepson, Blake Allen (Erin) and their children, Carmen, Macie and Jake; brother, David Napier (Judy).
Memorials can be made to Lawyer Springs Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Joseph Helms, 29706 Hollybrook Drive, Albemarle, NC 28001.
Morgan & Son Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Napier.
