Duane Alexander Obituary

Duane Dennis Alexander, 58, passed this earthly life on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born July 31, 1965 to Billy Fred Alexander and Faye Miller Alexander in Bruce.

Duane was an over the road trucker "OTR', and in his later years trucked locally hauling logs and sweet potatoes.  He prided himself as being a very good driver of his trucks.  He loved dirt track racing and when he got the time to fish in his favorite places.  He was a member of Lantrip Baptist Church where his Uncle Robert Earl Alexander pastored.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Miller Alexander and grandparents, Dennis and Mamie Alexander and Gilbert and Evelyn Miller.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Kaye Johnson Alexander of Vardaman, MS; his father: Billy Fred Alexander of Vardaman, MS; his daughter: Kija (Billy) Trice of Mathiston, MS;  his son: Dewayne (Wendy) Langford of Houston, MS; his sister: Melissa (Mikey) Grimes of Vardaman, MS; four grandchildren, Johnathan (Shelby) Collins, Kortney Trice, Laura Beth Langford, Jacob Earl Langford and a great granddaughter, Raylen Kate Collins.

Visitation for Duane will be Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman, MS from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00P.M. A funeral honoring Duane's life will be Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Cobb and Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating.  Duane will be laid to rest at Poplar Springs Cemetery with his other love ones. James Chrestman, Jordan Chrestman, Jonathan Collins, Brandon Grimes, Doug Holder, Doug Trice, Steve Trice and Jamie Whatley.  Honorary pallbearers, Curtis Bray and James Ray Schwalenberg.
