On Friday, May 16, 2025, another Christian went to claim his just reward.
Brother Germaine was born on November 10, 1975, in Jasper, Texas, to the late Sherald J. Lewis and the late Warner “Pete” McGill, Jr. He attended and graduated from Woodville High School.
Brother Germaine accepted Christ at an early age and was a firm believer in the Word of God. During his lifetime, he fulfilled his passion for truck driving, traveling across the country for twenty-four years. He also worked in numerous other capacities.
On June 12, 2016, Brother Germaine was ordained as a Deacon. He faithfully served on the Deacon Board and Men’s Board, acted as a Trustee, data entry clerk, and Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, worked with the youth, clean-up crew, and Van Ministry. He selflessly served wherever he was needed under the loving and caring leadership of Reverend Karlin Limbrick.
In his pastime, Brother Germaine loved spending time with his family, taking vacations, and instilling in his family the Word of God.
On November 23, 2014, Brother Germaine married the love of his life, Sister Janie Armstrong.
Brother Germaine was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; one sister, Candice; and one brother, Anthony.
He leaves to cherish his life and legacy: his loving wife, Sister Janice Lewis; sons, Khairy (Destiny), Zyon, and Kaeden; daughter, Jaleah; grandchildren, Kamren, Malakia, and Karson; brothers, Nicholas (Kristian), Rodrick, and Anthony; sisters, Reneka, India, LaSondra, Jaqueline, Peggy, and Pam; one aunt, Glinda McKinley; uncles, Gerald Lewis (Margaret), Joe, and Gerald; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, other family, special friends, and extended family.
