Glen Alvis, Jr. Obituary
Mr. Glen Franklin Alvis, Jr., age 79, of Fairmont, NC passed away Monday, February 16, 2026 at his home.
Mr. Glen was born January 5, 1947 in Johnson County, Missouri to the late Glen Franklin Alvis, Sr., and the late Agnes Milazzo Alvis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Alvis.
He served 22 years in the United States Marines; he retired as a Master Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Lamb Alvis of the home; a step-son, Alex Leggett (Tammy) of Orrum; a step- daughter, Tricia Hunt (Ardell) of Fairmont; six step-grandchildren, Jessica Hunt, Jordan Hunt (Kayla), Jenna Hunt, Cole Leggett, Cameron Leggett, and Clay Leggett; seven step-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont. The funeral will immediately follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM.
Burial will follow in the Lamb Family Cemetery, 296 Jenkins Road, Fairmont.
