Honesto Acacio Obituary

Honesto Acacio, 80, passed away on July 16, 2025 at Endeavor Health Highland park Hospital. He was married to his late wife, Nancy G. Acacio (2024) for 40 years.

Honesto was a CNA at All Saints Pediatric Hospital with Nancy and their oldest son, Ave Patrick. He loved to cook, sing and tell jokes. Honesto was often the life of the party.

He is survived by his sons, Ave Patrick (Junie) Acacio and Godrey (Hazel) Acacio; grandchildren, Jovie, Patrhiez, Avriel, and Giovaughni; siblings, Jaunito Espejo  (Erlinda Calaustro) Acacio, and Rey (Elsie Pascua) Acacio; sister-in-laws, Juanne Foronda Acacio, and Celia Acacio; nephews, Russell (Mila) Acacio, Atlas, and Erienne Avery; nieces, Grandeza (Adam Michael) Askins, Clandestine Acacio Sum, Irene (Richard) Casanas, Vanessa (Sean Michael) Panter, Sharlene Agbayani, Blandine Faye (Eric Cruz) Mariano, Penny (Jeffrey) Yumul, Leigh Valerie, and Marygold (Jason) Mossberg; sister-in-law, Celia Acacio.

In addition to Honesto's wife Nancy, he is preceded in death by, his parents, Patricio Caluya Acacio and Vitaliana Agcaoili Espejo; siblings, Arnold Acacio, Yolanda Espejo Acacio, and Alexander Espejo Acacio; brother-in-law, Desiderio Balanay Agbayani.

A visitation and service for Honesto will take place on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm with the service beginning at 5pm, at the Gurnee Salata Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave. Gurnee IL 60031. Interment will take place privately at a later date.
