With profound sadness and grateful hearts, we remember the life of Jackie Eileen Garner, who passed away peacefully at home in Trinity, Texas, on June 23, 2025.
Born on November 7, 1947, in Navasota, Texas, Jackie was the cherished daughter of George Henry and Jenniece Verona (Towne) Sledge. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brothers, George Dayton Sledge and Albert House Sledge.
Jackie leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and laughter. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Larry James Garner; her son, James Eric Garner and wife Susy; her daughter, Julie Anne Garner-Jarmon; and her treasured grandchildren, Kyle James Garner and Kara Eileen Presslar. Jackie is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Lealand Dale Sledge and Lucille Sledge, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
For 37 years, Jackie brought joy and wonder to countless lives as a professional clown, delighting audiences as Lollibells and Little Lolli. Her dedication to the art of clowning was recognized through her memberships in TCA, COAI, SECA, and WCA. She served for many years as Chaplain for SECA and was honored as Ambassador of Clowning at COAI for six years, earning their Clown of the Year award in 2006. Again, in 2022, she earned the TCA Ambassador Award. In 2017, Jackie shared her gifts with the world as an instructor at World Clown in Thailand. She accomplished the goal she was most proud of in 2021, by publishing a book “I Want To Be A Memory” chronicling her life and travels as Lollibells the Clown.
Jackie’s bright spirit extended beyond her performances. She was known for her enthusiasm for bingo nights, her love of cruising and playing the slots at sea, and above all, for the joy she found in time spent with her beloved family—especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Jackie Eileen Garner will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to family and community leave an indelible mark on our hearts.
May her memory be a blessing, and may the laughter she shared continue to echo in the lives she touched.
"To God be the Glory, Amen."
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025. Please see detailed info in the Photo Gallery.

Jackie lived her faith and her love for “Daddy God” spilled over to all who met her. I thank her for welcoming me into her home, for loving and praying for my grandchildren, and for the wonderful times we had singing hymns together on the porch swing. Today she sings with the angels.

So sorry for your loss. Jackie inspired my mom, Sue (her cousin), to become a clown also. Mom’s journey was short, we lost her about 28 years ago. But Jackie was a bright light in her life at that time.

Jackie path and mine often crossed as clowns. She was always so bubbling and her smile was contagious! Wish I had a nickel for every Smile that Jackie shared with others. That smile brighten every room and I’m sure it is glowing in heaven.

Met Lollibells at my first Pinky Clown school! Her “five year old” personality was delightful and enriching! Thank you, Jackie, for sharing a bit of YOU with me 29 years ago! I’ll never forget how much love I felt!
