I babysat for Carol, Nancy and Beth when Beth was a baby. Loved the family. My maiden name was Allen. My dad was music director at College Church. I always loved the whole family. I left Wheaton when I got married. The Strobeck family has always had a special place in my heart. I send my love to the girls. Bonnie Allen Hisgen

Way back when, I was the babysitter for the 3 girls, carol and Nancy and Beth. We knew their family thru College Church. What a wonderful family. I have a lot of happy memories.

Janet and Chuck were always so gracious to me when at Outreach and in charge of the Christmas breakfast events held at the Chicago Golf Club with them as hosts. For probably 20 years I was able to interact with them as we arranged for the occasions and welcomed the guests. Wife Lynn was also privileged to get to know them when she was a special duty nurse for Chuck's mother at their downtown Wheaton highrise apartment. They each were special persons in my life for those years, and I'll always fondly remember those special times with Janet...and Chuck.

Dear Strobeck Family,
I was recently thinking about your mom and wondering how she was doing...Well now I know....she is doing great! Resting in the arms of her savior and enjoying reunion with many beloved friends and family members. Praying that you all will also feel the Lord's arms around you as you morn her passing from here and celebrate her life.

We were so encouraged to have Chuck and Janet as friends. They were gracious, loving, and so non-judgmental. Amazing they were so encouraging to this rough-around-the-edges Pastor. We always looked forward to snow bird season as that meant they were part of our church. We visited while they were in Sarasota, but we also visited them on our trips to Chicago. We are going to miss her. I can't help but mention their family. They loved their family! Of course, it was her prayer (and his) that their family and friends would know Christ. Now Janet sees her Savior face to face. As she would say, she first gets to see Jesus, then Chuck.
