Funeral services for Ms. Janice Dumas White, age 70, of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2025 at Holmesville Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Emory officiating. Interment will follow at Holmesville Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Janice was a graduate of Farmerville High School. She then graduated from Union Parish Vo-Tech with her LPN license and continued her studies at Louisiana Tech, graduating with a degree as a RN. Janice worked as a pediatric nurse at St. Francis Medical Center and North Monroe Medical Center. She retired as a Case Specialist with Vantage Health Plan. Janice enjoyed traveling with her family and taking many vacations.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents: Billy and Patty Jo Tucker Dumas; her sister: Cindi Dumas Woodall; and her great-niece: Bridget Tucker.
She is survived by her daughter: Melissa White Echols and husband Malcolm; son: Timmy White and wife Kelli; two granddaughters: Chelsey Garner and husband Anthony and Madison White; grandson: Chase Echols; two great granddaughters: Abigail and Ashtyn Garner; brother-in-law: Keith Woodall; nephew: Carey Brantley and wife Nancy; niece: Heather Brantley; great-nephew: Logan Weaver; great-nieces: Kayla Weaver, Emma Brantley, and Brooklyn Russell; great-great-nephew: Broden Russell; and special pets: Pepper and Sassy.
Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Eubanks, John Haddox, Chris White, Carey Brantley, Beaux Benson, and Karl Brummett. Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Echols, Anthony Garner, Keith Woodall, and Logan Weaver.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Holmesville Baptist Church.
Donations may be made to the Union Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
