John Borges Jr. Obituary

Somersworth- John J. Borges Jr., 59, of Franklin Street was a beloved father, brother and friend.  He passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Wentworth Douglass Hospital.   John was born on June 27, 1961 in Stoneham, MA.   He was the son of John Joseph and Eleanor (Fravel) Borges, Sr.   He is survived by his two sons, Travis Borges of Belmont, NH and Derek Borges of Westminster, VT.  He also leaves a brother, David Borges in FL, a sister, Marianne Goss in MA, a sister, Annemarie Benson in NH, two nieces and four nephews.

John graduated from Stoneham High School in Stoneham, MA.  He then moved to NH after graduating from high school.   For the majority of his life he worked at various positions in different grocery stores. 

John loved his two sons very much.  When they were growing up, he taught them to be the best they could be.  Travis and Derek loved their father very much.  They are going to carry on their dad’s legacy and make him proud.

John was a friend to everyone.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed assistance.  John loved to cook and made excellent meals.  He would cook for his friends in the building where he lived.  His friends could not get enough of his cooking.  John would take friends who could not drive to do errands.  He would take them for a ride, so they could get out and get fresh air.  John is going to be missed a great deal by all his friends.
