Thinking of you and wishing each of you peace and comfort as you remember John.
Lorraine, (my mom), shared many wonderful memories of him growing up and how kind he was to her when she visited. We remember how proud he was showing us his collection of restored cars and his enthusiasm towards finishing them. I can still see his genuine smile.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and family.
With Deepest Sympathy,

I am so very sorry to hear of John's passing. I was lucky to meet John Pawl about thirty years ago, through my husband (also John), who worked with John Pawl at UPS. My husband enjoyed working with John Pawl so very much, and absolutely treasured his friendship, along with his family. John Pawl's kids became dear to my husband, who got to know them very well. My husband cared so much about John Pawl and his family, beginning when his kids were just little sprouts. Over the years, that friendship grew, sharing in the trials and tribulations, as well as the love and joy of his family. We shared in Jonathon and Lynn's wedding, Katie and Mike's wedding, and my husband was there for Kim as a young girl. My husband would be so very happy for Kim and her husband Mike, and their recent wedding.
John Pawl was so kind to my children. My husband John, was known as 'Leggs' at UPS. If our kids called the center to talk to their dad, and made the mistake of asking for 'John in the Shop,' (rather than 'Leggs'), invariably John Pawl would answer the phone, and my kids would start rattling off whatever they needed. John Pawl would patiently listen for a minute, before saying, 'Okay Kiddo, I think you want the other John. Hang on!' In our family, he was always known as 'John Pawl,' like one word.
For a decade after both had retired, John Pawl and my husband remained friends and spent a heck of a lot of time on the phone, or out to breakfast and gabbing. The two of them would be causing trouble every chance they got. John Pawl was a true friend to my husband. I would always tell him, 'Be sure to tell John Pawl he's still got that Clint Eastwood smirk.' It always made me smile. He was a steadfast friend, and I know how important he was to my husband.
I lost my John last year, and was blessed to have John Pawl and Bonnie with me for his Celebration of Life. Since then, Bonnie and I have grown closer, and have promised to 'pick up where the guys left off.' I hope we do.
I send my heartfelt love, affection and sympathy to Bonnie, to the kids and their spouses and all of John Pawl's grandkids and extended family too. I'm sure you are missing him, and always will. Hold on to the memories, which will always be in your hearts. Smile and laugh at the stories. I am certain, 'The Johns' (John Pawl and my John) and Katie are likely causing trouble together again. Watch the clouds. I'm sure they are watching us.
All my best to each of you. May he rest his weary soul.
