Jose Lujan Obituary

Jose Antonio Lujan Sr. (Tony) born on April 24th, 1938 in Las Vegas, New Mexico, went to be with the lord on March 11th, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend and business owner in the community of the North Valley.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Maria (Timmie) of almost 60 years; Rose his granddaughter; and his mother Felicita and others he loved who have also left us.

Tony served in the US army and later was a business owner in the North Valley for almost 40 years. As a cobbler and owner of Tony's Shoe Shop he served the community and made many acquaintances and friends. He enjoyed the bingo and casino. In 2013 Tony was forced to retire due to health issues and spent much of his remaining years painting, where he found peace and solace during his battle with dementia in front of a canvas.

Tony is survived by his loving children Yvonne, Marlene, Jose Jr. and Herman and their spouses Dino, Jeanette and Maryanna; his grandchildren he loved deeply Delano, Diane, Denise, Jessica, Chay, Mal, Kathy, James and Nick; and many great grandchildren, siblings, relatives, and friends\neighbors.

Tony will be greatly missed. A big thanks to those who made his last years comforting and full of love.
