Kim Marie Hauan, daughter of Darwin and Dorothy (Wagner) Baker, was born March 4, 1956 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  She received her education in Mason City, graduating  from high school in 1973.

In 1974 Kim was united in marriage to Bill Snyder and they were blessed with two children. Kim was employed at Larson Manufacturing in Lake Mills.

Kim later married Lyle Hauan.  She owned and operated her own semi truck and drove for England Trucking doing trips all over the United States. She truly loved truck driving.

When Kim wasn’t on the road she enjoyed attending stock car races, going gambling at various casinos, rock hunting and doing puzzles.  What Kim loved most was her family and taking her grandchildren to area lakes where they would camp and go fishing.

Kim passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Emmetsburg Care Center, at the age of 69.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Darwin and Dorothy Baker; her husband, Lyle Hauan; brothers,  Mark in infancy, Chuck, David, Phillip, Johnny, and Darwin, Jr.; and sisters, Jean, Mary, Sharon and Patty.

She is survived by her children, Amanda Juchem and her husband, Bob of Graettinger, Iowa and Stacey Snyder of Estherville, Iowa; their father, Bill Snyder of Estherville, Iowa; her grandchildren, Tyler Juchem, Zack Snyder, Zander Snyder and Zoey DeRuyter; great grandson, Marcellus Snyder; brothers, James Baker  of Mason City, Iowa, Dean Baker of Mason City, Iowa and Scott Baker of Mason City, Iowa; sisters, Debbie Wiebrand of Mason City,  Iowa, Darla Ward of Mason City, Iowa, and Linda Dyer of Arizona; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
