Leonard Davis Obituary

Leonard Davis,70, was born May 2, 1955, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Hilda Davis and Alonzo Harris Sr., and passed away on February 1, 2026. A lifelong resident of Sikeston, he was the elder of two sons.

He attended Sikeston Senior High School and, upon graduation, continued his education at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri.

While attending Lincoln University, he was initiated into the Eta Sigma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated on November 20, 1976 — an affiliation that remained one of the greatest honors and joys of his life. Leonard was also a proud member of the Frederick T. Hicks Masonic Lodge.

Leonard proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enlisted in 1980 and attended basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He completed his military occupational specialty training at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, before beginning his assignment at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. From there, he was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. His military career later took him overseas to Hanau and Frankfurt, Germany, before returning to the United States, where he completed his service at Fort Meade, Georgia.

On July 6, 2015, Leonard united in marriage with Sandra Deniece White-Davis, who preceded him in death on August 30, 2023.

Leonard is survived by his children: Tim Lane (Kristie) and Tommy Lane, both of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Mario Jimerson (DeKenda) of Goodyear, Arizona; Antonio Davis (Jasmine) of Millersville, Maryland; and Annetta Davis of Odenton, Maryland.

He is also survived by his maternal sibling, Frances Ivy, and paternal siblings, Alonzo Harris Jr., Michael Harris Sr., Paul Harris, Dawna Allen, James Harris, Marilyn Harris, Sandra Brooks, Carolyn G. Yarber, Kimberly G. Harris, Shonna Harris, and Hope Harris.

His cherished grandchildren include Tomia, Tommy, Giovanni, Karlee, Kylie, Anitra, Kendra, Mahagony, Malachi, Isis, and Jaidon.

He is lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were grateful for the light he brought into their lives.

When it came to his fraternity, he deeply loved the Bruhz — a bond he shared with his brother Rodney Davis, who preceded him in death.

Known as “Bull” among his beloved fraternity brothers, Leonard walked to the beat of his own drum. His voice carried far and touched many hearts. He was never afraid to express himself — he made sure he was heard, and that you were listening.

Though he is no longer physically with us, his love lives on as a gentle presence in our hearts. His legacy carries forward in the lives of those who knew him as an uncle, brother, relative, and friend.

Always cherished, always remembered.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Roo to Bull —
“A dog will always find his way home.”

Funeral services will be held on February 17, 2026, at Open Door Fellowship, where Michael Harris is the pastor. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity rites will be conducted.
