Linda Morton Obituary

Linda Sue (Thomas) Morton, 75, of Blanchard, passed away on March 22, 2025, in her home.  The daughter of Nathaniel Thomas and LoEva (Roberts) Thomas, Linda was born on August 1, 1949, in Talihina, Oklahoma. 

Linda grew up in Blanchard and was a 1967 graduate of Blanchard High School.  She lived in Arlington, Texas for about forty years, before moving back to Blanchard in 2019.   Linda worked as a reservationist for Southwest Airlines and   retired after twenty years of service.  While at Southwest she was very involved in the Union Worker’s Association and served as the shop steward.  She also spent a few years as the receptionist for the Chickasaw Nation at Chokka’ Kilimpi’.  She was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation.  Linda was a democrat in political matters and a huge Dallas Cowboys fan as well as an OU Sooners fan.  She loved her little fur baby, Derby.  Her children and grandchildren adored her and she will be greatly missed by them all.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Al Morton; and brother, Sam Thomas.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Ridenhour; son, Chad Ridenhour and wife, Brandi; grandchildren, Breana Ridenhour and Wesley Ridenhour; sisters, Naomi Cannon and Barbie Thomas; and several nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
