Nicholas “Nick” Glenn Gouldey of Palm Coast, Florida passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 2nd, 2025, one day before his 40th birthday. Nick was born on August 3rd, 1985 in Portland, Oregon to Leslie J. (Ruth) Gouldey and Glenn C. Gouldey. Nick’s childhood was spent in Portland, Oregon; Chicago, Illinois; and Rochester Hills, Michigan with his parents and brothers, Jeremy and Alex.
Nick was a graduate of Rochester Adams High School, class of 2004, where he managed the wrestling team. A fan of music and singing, Nick was a baritone in the Rochester Adams HS Choir. A self-proclaimed “pop culture historian”, Nick enjoyed theme parks, Marvel movies, and volunteering at comic conventions, but his first love was professional wrestling. He attended multiple Wrestlemania events and enjoyed lecturing his cousin Eroica on decades of wrestling lore whenever she would visit. Additionally, his enthusiasm for food led him to explore new restaurants wherever he and his family traveled.
Nick had a rare ability to engage and connect with anyone he met. He enjoyed talking to the people he met while volunteering at Rangerstop in Orlando, wrestlers he met at events, and celebrities fixing up old restaurants for TV shows. He was incredibly thoughtful in his interactions, whether he knew someone for five minutes or his whole life.
Nick is remembered by all who loved him as a kind and gentle soul who had a great sense of humor with a sassy streak. He is survived by his father Glenn Gouldey of Palm Coast, Florida; his brothers Jeremy Gouldey and Alexander Gouldey of Chicago, Illinois; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends including his Aunt Susie, Aunt Millie, Aunt Bert, Uncle Tony and Uncle Bob, Darlene Ubry, Cheryll Ferrante and his dear friend Clayton. Nick was preceded in death by his mother, Leslie Gouldey, and his Aunt Peggy Reade.
There will be a private service for family members in Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nick’s name to the Spina Bifida Association or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Nick’s family has entrusted his arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations, 39 Old Kings Rd. N., Palm Coast, FL.

Peg and I loved every one of those special occasions when Nick would come visit us in Ho-Ho-Kus - I will miss our road trip conversations. Nick knew well the world around him and had an extraordinary measure of determination. We saw him challenge his limits every day - he was a marvel of inner strength. We loved him and now miss him. My condolences to the entire Gouldey Family.

We loved Disney together - parks and cruises. Such a happy child and a sweet, caring adult. You will be greatly missed - taken way too soon. Rest now and run with your Mom. Love you.

Nick left us far too soon. Nick had a wonderful spirit and a great sense of humor that helped him through life's ups and downs. I always looked forward to seeing Nick at the baseball games we attended, superhero movies or family vacations. And the car trips Can't forget the car trips.
Some of my favorite memories of Nick were when we attended baseball games together. He was a huge baseball (Cubs!) fan. The sun was shining, the fans were cheering, the hot dogs were flowing. Nick took it all in. Good times.
Nick, we love you and miss you.

Nick was a wonderful man. I knew him for only over a year, but felt like a lifetime. He was a sweet gentle soul, so loving , funny and sassy like His dad said. I loved him as he were one of my children. It was a blessing Nick was brought into my life. I will miss him deeply!
Soar with the angels, sweet Nick ❤
