Ornella was many very special things to her loved ones, and it is indeed difficult to sum up her life in just a few words. She was a devoted wife of nearly 39 years to Bill, the love of her life. A loving mom to Bill and Rosanne and a beloved grandma to Alyssa, Stephanie, Keith and Craig. Daughter of Carmine and Rosa, and a sister to Maria, Ave and Alberto, Ornella also held a special place in the hearts of Jim, Sabina and JJ, and all her nieces and nephews. We all cherished her kindness, caring, generosity, patience, intelligence, modesty and wry sense of humor. She always wanted the best for all of us, rejoicing with us during the best of times and supporting us during times of hardship. Ornella always made friends and family feel welcome in her home. Her earthly life’s journey, which began in Amorosi, in Italy’s Benevento Province, took her and her family through World War II and then to the United States in 1949, has concluded. We loved her deeply and will miss her, but we take comfort knowing that she is in a peaceful, joyful place. Riposa in pace, Ornella.
