Patricia Parker Obituary

Patricia A. Parker, 81, of Clinton Township, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, June 30, 2023 at home after an illness.  Her beloved husband of more than 51 years, James J. Parker survives her.

Born October 19, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen (LaClair) Rafferty.

Pat was a devout and faithful Catholic who passionately lived her life committed to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Blessed Mother. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Waymart where she looked forward to mass each and every day the church was open.  Pat and Jim moved to Wayne County several years ago upon retirement, and rather than seeking personal interests for herself, Pat soon became a volunteer and eucharistic minister to the residents at Forest City Nursing Home, Mallard Meadows, and Wayne Woodlands Manor.  Pat's commitment to her faith and sharing that joy with others defined her character throughout her lifetime.  She will be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed greatly by all who were blessed to know her.

She is also survived by a son, Sean Parker of Clinton Township; and a granddaughter, Addison Marie Parker.

Pat was also preceded in death by two sons, Brian Joseph Parker and Timothy Patrick Parker in 2001, and her sister, Eileen Lake.

The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 242 Carbondale Road, Waymart, PA.  Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the church.

Interment will be private in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
