Williamsport - Sherry Rae (George) Powers, 69, Williamsport, passed away in the Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 11:28 a.m. following her battle with cancer.
Sherry was born in Williamsport, Indiana on December 14, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Laura (Hagley) George. Sherry was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1974. She has resided in rural Williamsport for the past 24 years.
Sherry formerly worked at CVS as a Pharmacy Technician. She retired after 20 years of service to CVS in Attica.
In her past time, Sherry enjoyed crocheting and fishing. Her greatest love was her family and the time spent with her six grandchildren.
On March 30, 1974, Sherry married Rick A. Powers in Williamsport, IN. She leaves behind her husband, Rick of 51 years along with three children, Brian (Shelby) Powers, Williamsport; Angela Powers, Attica and Jason Powers, Williamsport; six grandchildren, whom she adored; Morgan Powers, Madilynn Powers, Caden Powers, Olivia Pattengale, Grace Pattengale and Charlotte Powers. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Wednesday, July 2nd from 11:0 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Joshua Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Sherry was sweet, funny, and a hard worker. We had a good time when we worked together at Short Stop and CVS. She will be missed by so many people, especially, of course, all of her family. May God strengthen and comfort you. Keeping you in my prayers.
