Stephen Denny Obituary
Stephen E. Denny, Watertown, passed away Tuesday, February 11th at Samaritan Medical Center. He was 75 years old.
Calling hours for Stephen E. Denny will be on Tuesday, February 18th from 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Carpenter Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial with military honors will take place in the spring in Adams Rural Cemetery.
Steve was born September 25, 1949, the son to the late Claude and Jessie Mae Shea Denny. He graduated from South Jefferson Central High School, June of 1968.
Steve enlisted in the United States Navy in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1989 receiving Vietnam Service Medal w/star, National Defense Service Medal, Air Medal, Gold Wreath Awards, Fourth Good Conduct Award, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Expert Rifle Ribbon and Philippine Republic Presidential Unit Citation. After he retired from the military, he worked for ICM, Corp.
Surviving is his brother, Michael “Tiger” (Mary) Denny, Belleville; sister Susan (Karen Thorpe) Whitford, Maine; son, Steve (Sabrina Jo) Denny, Mannsville; daughter, Kelly (Michael) Storms, Oswego; Elizabeth Denny, mother of his children, Mannsville; 11 grandchildren, close friend, Deborah O’Dett and her children, Virginia O’Dett, PA; Katherine O’Dett, Rodman and his very best friend, Patrick Daly and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his, father (2014) mother, (1984) and his brother, Timothy (2016).
He was a Life Member of the Adams American Legion, Post 586 and South Jeff VFW, 5344.
Steve was an avid NY Yankee, NY Giant and Syracuse University fan.

I was saddened to see that an old friend has passed. I remember Steve fondly from high school. Although I only saw him rarely after graduation I will always remember his locker two away from mine, his fierceness on the wrestling mat and his smile. My condolences to his family. David Ebdon
