Sybbie Ile Obituary

Sybbie Ree Ile
Age 74, of Minerva

Sybbie R. Ile, age 74, of Minerva, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025. She was born on September 15, 1951, in Fairfield, Illinois, to the late Fay and Leona (Mayberry) Garner.

Sybbie was a homemaker and had also worked for Designs by Terry in Minerva. She was a member of the Wayne City Baptist Church and the Minerva VFW Post #4120 Auxiliary.

Born and raised in Wayne City, Illinois, Sybbie was a proud graduate of Wayne City High School. She moved to Minerva in the 1970s, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and strong friendships. Before her illness, she enjoyed gambling, golfing, and gardening. Known for her fiery spirit and quick wit, Sybbie was truly a spitfire—never at a loss for words. She adored her family and cherished the time she spent with them and her many friends. An animal lover at heart, she especially loved dogs.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Randy Ile, whom she married on March 22, 1970; her daughter, Rachel (Jeff) Sledge of Wayne City, IL; her son, Lance Ile of Minerva; and two grandchildren, Kennedy and Kyle Sledge. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanine Jordan and Carlene Brown, and three brothers, Bob, Benny, and Cecil Garner.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Minerva VFW on Saturday, November 29, at 11:00 a.m., and another gathering will take place in Wayne City, Illinois, at Cesario’s on December 27, at 11:00 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Local Hope, 801 Oakwood Drive, Alliance, Ohio 44601. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online guestbook at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
