Travis J. Moore Obituary

Travis Moore, 50, died on June 14, 2022 in Ferndale Michigan.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 22 from 3-5pm, with a memorial service to follow at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion.

He was born on July 13, 1971 in Wayne, Michigan to Roger and Kathy Moore. He moved with his family to Lake Orion in 1977. He is a 1990 graduate of Lake Orion High School.

Travis loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and around a bonfire with friends and family. He felt most at ease among nature, and once said if he could live anywhere in the world, it would be in Tennessee. His love for his family and friends, which outweighed his love for Tennessee, kept him in Michigan for a lifetime.

His soul found calm and comfort in northern Michigan at lake cabins, along snowmobile trails and near vast hunting areas. In addition to his many hobbies and interests, he will be remembered for his love of fireworks –from his shows he would host along Tamarack Lake to his impromptu bottle rocket displays from the campfire at his brother’s cabin on Houghton Lake. He had a “go big or go home” style and a sense of humor that will be missed by everyone that was blessed to be part of his life.

He was a younger brother, proud uncle, beloved son and loyal friend. He is survived by his parents, Roger and Kathy Moore, brother Tony, sister-in-law Billie and nephews Tyler and Zachary Moore.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to Grace Centers of Hope in Memory of Travis Moore.
